Day 1 - Day 3

One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular destination in Africa.

Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe and it is an ideal place to combine game viewing and water sports on your holiday.

There is excellent fishing, a terrifying bungee jump and arguably the best commercial white water rafting in the world.

Tours & Experiences

This itinerary includes a sunset cruise, bridge tour, helicopter ride and a visit to Livingstone Island, all incredible experiences.

The Ra-Ikane sunset cruise explores the scenic channels and islands of the Zambezi River, with wildlife often seen along the riverbanks. Drinks and snacks are served on board as the sunset turns the sky into swathes of rich gold.  It is a magical setting.

The Historical Bridge Tour includes a theatrical and entertaining presentation on the history and construction of the bridge in 1904, followed by a walk on the catwalk beneath the bridge, an area otherwise restricted to the public, with views of the Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River.

The 13–15 minute helicopter flight offers a breathtaking aerial view over Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River, Batoka Gorge and the Victoria Falls Bridge, showcasing the scale of the Falls against the surrounding rainforest.

The Livingstone Island excursion starts with a border crossing from Zimbabwe into Zambia to meet the Island team at the jetty, followed by a short boat ride across the Zambezi to the Island. A guided walk leads to a natural rock pool, Devil's Pool, perched at the edge of the Falls, with uninterrupted views over the gorge. River levels permitting, there's a chance for an adrenalin-filled bucket-list moment to dip into the pool before returning to the boat and trip back to Victoria Falls.
