The day at Jembisa starts early with tea, coffee and light snacks before heading out on the morning safari activity, which is often a game drive or guided bush walk. Children are welcome to join shorter, tailored activities or take part in the Junior Ranger programme, to learn wildlife tracking, bush skills and basic survival techniques.

After a full breakfast back at the lodge, there's time for mountain biking, fishing, visiting ancient Bushman rock art or relaxing before lunch. There's also a  playroom for children stocked with books, games and wildlife videos.

Late afternoon is time for the second safari activity, often when the sighting are at their best and nocturnal species appear.  Dinner is relaxed, around a camp fire under the stars or in the dining area.  For families keen to experience outdoor adventure, a camp-out under the stars can be arranged.

With the flexibility to choose from a wide range of activities and enjoy quality time together, this is where family safari memories are made.

Tours & Experiences

The President Hotel is on the Sea Point Promenade, close to restaurants and with a City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off  bus stop right outside the hotel for quick access to Cape Town's main tour routes.

Facilities at the hotel include an outdoor infinity pool with sun terrace, a poolside splash zone for children, three dining options, two bars including a rooftop-style Deck Bar & Terrace with sea views, a gym, salon and spa.

During your stay here, trips to the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Boulders Beach to see the penguins can be done, either with a private tour operator, or the shared hop-on hop-off bus.

Other Cape Town highlights are a scenic helicopter flight along the coastline, ocean kayaking, free diving through the kelp forests, local craft markets, street art, museums and galleries, including the Zeitz MOCAA Museum, and an endless choice of coffee shops, restaurants and local foodie favourites to explore.
